Description

As a farming family of the most agriculturally rich soil on earth, the San Joaquin Valley, we understand the importance of taking care of the land we use so it will still be abundantly providing for generations to come. That is why in 2006 we became a Certified Organic fruit grower and began producing fruit in our sustainable orchard. We are now working toward offering all our California fruits as organic.

All the relatives who received these packages seemed to be very pleased. I thought the gifts were a good value from a good company. The one thing I would have changed was that I was not advised about the need to include our family's name as a sender, so the families (4) all wondered for awhile who had sent them! PS: I bought organic dehydrated persimmons last year at about this time. Found some packages the other day in my storage and reconstituted about 1/4 package in water. This is what I made from them, using 1 pkg Krusteaz pumpkin bread mix, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup veg. oil, 1 cup milk, 3/4 cup fresh apple pieces cut up (no skin); and 3/4 cup cooked carrot pieces, diced: I cut up the persimmons and left their skins on. Stirred everything together, popped into some small loaf pans which had been slightly oiled to prevent sticking. Baked at 350 degrees until the bread felt firm on top. Took out of oven to cool, then made icing from I cube of softened butter, about 1/4 cup water, vanilla (according to your taste), and enough powdered sugar to make the mixture firm, but soft enough to cover the tops of the cooled little loaves of fruity pumpkin bread. Sprinkled with chopped nuts. Absolutely delicious!!!!
