First Christmas Ornaments
Did you know fruits and nuts were among the first Christmas ormaments? Prior to the 1840's, Christmas trees were covered in fruits, nuts, cookies, candels, paper docorations, and small gifts. Some beleive the first glass ornament was craffted by a poor glass blower in Germany who could not afford extra goodies to decorate a tree. He decided to use his glass to make bulbs in the shapes of fruits and nuts to decorate his tree for his family.
