what happened??

these used to be so good, very similar to Bella Viva's "organic" dried apricots... perfect sweet/sour apricot flavor, perfectly chewy, I could eat 1 lb a day and never get tired of them.

Last 2 orders it has changed dramatically! the apricots are still perfectly chewy but the flavor is way off, sticky-sweet with bitter tones...none of that wonderful "apricoty" taste. it's like the fruit was way too ripe or something.

Recommend getting just one bag rather than 5 to see if you like them. For the record the "Organic" unsulfured variety is still as good as ever.
