For those of you who are familiar with California’s Central Valley, you know that it gets downright hot here during this time of year. You won’t see us complaining, though, ‘cause when it’s hot it means that all of those precious fruits on our trees are growing larger and sweeter with every passing heat-filled moment. We get out in our orchards before the sun comes up to harvest our summer fruits and before that afternoon heat sets in, then at the end of the day we reward ourselves by getting the grill fired up and surrounding ourselves with our growing family, including our two daughters and their husbands, our seven grandchildren and our sweet rescue dog. Yes, it’s busy and yes, it’s wonderful! On a typical evening you’ll find the grands splashing in the pool or running through the sprinkler right next to our recently-planted Regenerative Organic Certified Peach orchard. We never grow tired of these times, because we know that one day these precious kiddos will be grown up and heading out. It happens quickly, you know.
As our grandchildren get ready to head back to school, it’s pretty much a given that their parents will be sending Bella Viva Orchards’ goodies with them.
